Challenge
Space documentaries have an obvious problem: there is almost no footage. The subject is a spacecraft nobody has photographed since 1990, in a place no camera has ever been. Most channels in this category solve it with generated space art, which looks impressive and convinces nobody who knows the subject.
Sustaining that across fifteen or thirty minutes is the real difficulty. A short piece can survive in the atmosphere; a long one needs research deep enough to keep revealing things, and a structure that earns each new section.
Solution
We built from NASA mission videos and images, which is public domain and therefore both free to use and defensible. Real imagery carries authority that generated visuals cannot, and in this genre the audience can tell.
Scale was translated into something physical throughout. The spacecraft’s transmitter output compared to a hallway bulb, distance expressed as the time light takes to cross it. The piece is anchored to a specific date, the light-day milestone in November 2026, which gives an evergreen subject a reason to be watched now.
