Challenge
Explainers fail in one of two directions. Oversimplify and the viewer learns nothing they did not already assume; include everything and ten minutes becomes a wall of terminology nobody follows.
The subject is also entirely invisible. There is nothing to film, and the process happens in about two seconds across machines the viewer will never see.
Solution
The script covers four steps and refuses the fifth. Everything not required to understand the sequence was cut, including terminology that would have been accurate and unhelpful.
Visually, one diagram builds progressively across the piece. One element appearing per narrated beat, never more. Every visual maps to a specific sentence, so nothing on screen is ever ahead of or behind the voiceover.
What this
demonstrates
The discipline transfers directly to product explainers, onboarding video and course content, which is what education and software clients buy most often.
- One clear learning outcome per video
- Visual explanations timed to the narration
- Reusable components for an educational series
